HTMLArea现在用的人最多，可惜2.0对其他浏览器支持不太好，3.0-rc1 BUG太多，而官方开发速度也太慢。FCKeditor功能非常强大，各种浏览器的兼容性也非常好，更新速度也快，但载入速度太慢了。TinyMCE是HTMLArea和FCKeditor两者之间不错的选择，功能虽然比不上FCKeditor，但速度还可以，对IE和firefox支持都很好，mambo上的TinyMCE+Image Manager用的非常不错。FreeTextBox很不错，可惜只对ASP.net支持比较好。
可惜现在没有好的支持web标准的编辑器，r.a.d.editor和XStandard正在做这方面的努力，可惜都是商业的，r.a.d.editor竟然要349美圆。
要说商业的那就太多了，DevEdit,WysiwygPro,pintexx,r.a.d.editor,Rich Editor,还有那个中国人开发的eWebEditor等等等等，太多了，我就不一一列举了，功能一个比一个强大。
